First up is Model's Own. I discovered Model's Own just under 3 years ago, when I was looking for some nail varnish which wasn't shimmery or really un-pigmented (unsure if this is a word), I remember my exact words were I wanted a nail varnish that 'went on like paint'.
I was so excited when I discovered the website because the colour selection was amaaazing , and they even had glitters and neons (this was before nail varnish was massive like it is now). I bought 3 nail varnishes and since then I have been hooked.
They are without a doubt my favourite brand, the pigmentation is great, the colours are brilliant and there are constantly new collections coming out.
Anyway, enough rambling, here is my hoard:
I have swatched them all so it is easier to see the colours (I have done 2 coats in each colour, 3 coats for glitters):
Colours from the top glittery blue clockwise are: Bluebelle, Disco Mix, Purple Haze, In the Navy, Black Magic, Grey Day, Snow White, Pearly Queen, Pink Fizz, Lilac Dream, Pastel Pink, Bubblegum, Sophie's Pink, Pink Punch, Beth's Blue, Indian Ocean, Aqua Violet.
Colours from neon red on the left: Hedonist, Scarlet Sparkle, Fluoro Orange, Fuzzy Peach, Nude Beige, Goldfinger, Disco Inferno, Dancing Queen, Emerald City.

That's a pretty extensive collection! You not a fan of OPI or Essie a lot of other bloggers always seem to rave about those brands.
ReplyDeleteI've got a few OPIs which I do like but I don't think they are any better than my beloved Models Own, and they are more expensive. Essie I haven't tried, I would like to but there aren't really any shades that I haven't pretty much already got!
DeleteLOVE Models Own and it's very true what you say, nobody does that technicolour palette in quite the same way and I think you get incredible value for money, especially with the in-store offers they constantly do in Boots and online.

Exactly, they have a little shop in Westfield and I can never resist the 3 for £12. Plus they are always doing offers where you get another one free, so it just makes sense! :)

ReplyDeleteI know it's amazing! Pink Punch is a similar colour which just about wins it for me because I think Hedonist is a bit too matte. :)
