3.1 Philip Lim Appreciation Society

Philip Lim is definitely one of my favourite designers (along with Alexander Wang, Chanel and Proenza Schouler, to name but a few others) and the 3.1 Philip Lim SS13 collection did not disappoint:

I love the simplicity, I love the use of florals, PVC and checks, but most of all I love those SHOES. The chunkiness, the gladiator-ness, the cut out details, it all makes me very happy.

Yesterday I saw a girl walk past me at the tube station wearing similar sandals and in that moment I knew they must be mine!

I had an inkling they were from Zara, and turns out I was right:

So of course today was spent mostly going to/calling various Zaras in London attempting to track them down, but it seems they are sold out everywhere in store. Luckily they still had them online so they are winging there way to me as we speak (maybe not as we speak as it's Sunday but SOON).

I can't wait to get them, I hope they look as beauteous on as they do off!

OOTN: Bank Holiday in Bristol

Shirt Topshop
Shorts H&M (here)
Shoes New Look (a looong time ago)
Bag Dorothy Perkins (but a present)
Burnt thighs Model's own

I wore this outfit to go out in Bristol on as it was my friend Rosie's birthday on Sunday. She is one of my favourites. Going home is great because I still have my old bedroom (thanks parents :)) and old wardrobe. This means that I don't have to take a ton of stuff back every time because I can rediscover old favourites, which I did with these shoes and clutch. I have especially fallen in love with the shoes again, I remember they were my first New Look employee discount purchase back in 2008! I love how the clutch gives the outfit a bright pop of colour too.

On Saturday I also got a tattoo! Me and Rosie have wanted matching ones since this post back in 2011, and it only took us 2 and a half years to pluck up the courage.

Rosie has exactly the same but I have it on my left side and she has it on her right, so when we hug they do too. Hahaha so cheesy but so true.

What a beaut she is.

OOTD: Vintage Florals

Top Battersea boot sale
Leggings New Look
Shoes Topshop (ooollld)
Ring River Island

My friend and I went to Battersea car boot sale for the first time on Sunday and I had a lovely time. I bought the top above, a shirt originally from Topshop and a super cute necklace, all for under £10. I had a delicious cheese, potato and onion pasty followed by a lovely sit down in Battersea park observing the many breeds of dogs being walked. The winner was a sausage dog, they are the best-so close to the ground. It's nice to explore different parts of London- it feels like each area is a little city of its own.

Tomorrow I am heading to a photoshoot as the company I work for are revamping their advertisements- I don't really know what I'll be doing, I just asked to go along as I thought it would be fun experience. Should be more exciting than the average day at work!

Here are some better photos of my nails:

I love the mix of colours. It does upset me slightly that on one hand my nails are clearly longer than the other, however I can't bring myself to cut the long ones. So I will be strong, and try to cope.

Nail Polish Favourites: Blues

I heart nail polish. If there was a nail polish anonymous I would be there every week.

Recently, I've been sporting a lot of blue polishes- I think they are really fresh for Spring and I think they suit my skin tone. Here are my favourite blue hues:

I think my favourite of all the above is Chelsea Physic Garden by Nails Inc- it's such a pretty, vibrant blue, almost a neon. This is closely followed by Miss Sporty's Pop Art which is a great dupe for Nails Inc's Baker Street, but at a snip of the price.

Side note: Is it American to say 'nail polish' and English to say 'nail varnish'? When I was younger I always used to say nail varnish but I say nail polish more now, probably because most blogs and magazines tend to do so. Is saying nail varnish just really un-cool now? Also, on a side note to the side note why is everything now singular e.g. 'a red lip' 'a printed trouser' 'an ankle boot'? Sometimes I dislike fashion speak. Anyway, rant over haha!

Do you like blue nail varnish for spring?
